Metal, in all it's screaming,grumting ear shattering,brain busting variety,is best heard in long intense doses. Plenty of it is on display on the new local loft.Tanzen,from Chicago's West side justdoesn't play it with a lot of attention to the unclean vocal. The band has just relesed their second EP, Hex. I talk to singer Teddy Tanzen, & bassist Demo, right after they played Reggie's Rock Club. It's a coming,& going out Halloween Costume party in Lombard for 13 Monsters. No clowning around here. In fact,NO clowning whatsoever.
