Another bountiful selection of original hard rock.metal,alt-rock,punk & more from the Chicagoland area & state of Illinois to stuff your ears & fill your life with the recommended daily allowance of great tuneage.
Sometimes it's the look, not just the sound that draws a band or artist to the music fan. In the case of Kankakee's Carrying Torches,it's not really the facial hair of the band members that's a distinguishing quality, although it helps when you play the annual event of beards and riffs,Mustache Fest in Joliet. That's where I caught up with the four piece band, promoting their second EP,Strangers with it's diverse mix of melodic rock & spacey synthesizers. I talk to the band about their songs from Elder Brewing in Joliet.
Black Road isn't going forward into Thanksgiving.Suzi Uzi and the band are still rocking a Halloween witchy groove on their extensive new single, while Veilside puts their distinctive melodic hard rockin groove on pause for the future.
Along with them, your ear & brain cavities are being musically filled by:
Carrying Torches:My Fav Part
Carrying Torches:Wake Me Up
The Unlawful-The Domestic
Scientist-Majick Mirror
Broke N' Ugly-Alcohol
Evil Engine-Degeneration
Black Road-Witch Of The Future
Deepspacepilots-All Or Nothing

I get the scoop from singer, writer & co founder,Suzi Uzi,and the other 3 members on their awesome brand of not totally retro rock as I talk to them from Reggies Music Joint, where they rocked a Saturday night beer drenched crowd.
