We start off digging the blusey funk rock grooves of The Recall. This four piece band out of Wheaton just relesed their second EP,Transparency. If you dig the Black Keys proto funk industrial sound, you'll love what The Recall is laying down. Well,without the industrial electronics added. I talk to The Recall before they rock a packed house at Wire in Berwyn.
Genotype hopes to out rock and scream 2 of the biggest female fronted national rock bands,Halestorm and In This Moment,by winning a spot to open for both in their native Rockford, while Delightful Downfall & Sky Machine drummer Steve Eldridge forms a new band,Qualia,who will open for Otherwise in May at The Forge in Joliet.

A Silent Truth no longer keeps quiet about their debut full length CD,Ascension. The 5 piece Crystal Lake based band unleashes their hard driving sonic assault, led by the screeching,high energy voice of John Williams. I talk to them as they throw their huge CD release show at Brauerhouse in Lombard.
We give female fronted hard rockers equal opportunity to lay their sound & grove on the world. I talk to Kankakee areas Metal act,The Unlawful, featuring the passionate,but aggressive vocals of Alyce Hayes. We bid farewell,but not totally goodbye to the Vaudeviliens,as the Joliet rockers prepare to take an indefinite hiatus.
