From the bluesy,countrifired boogie rock of Joliet's Righteous Hillbillies to the angry young metalcore of When Night Falls....The music flows through your brain,,ears & bloodstream like a nice,cold swig of craft beer down your throat. Righteous Hillbillies have just released their fourth CD, Two Wheels Down a Lost Highway. I talk to singer & founder Brent James,& newcomer guitarist,Nick Normando,before the band had the huge crowd digging their new music at the annual Hopstring Fest,at Joliet's Silver Cross Field. We also crank up the rock energy level with Vaudevilens,who are getting ready to put out their first full length CD, & open up for Zion,Illinois based veteran grunge rockers,Local H.

Two distinctly different metal styles are presented on Episode 32.  Fool's Brew offers an insane,alcohol soaked pure adrenaline form of aggressive hardcore metal.They have just released their third EP,The Reckoning. By hook or by crook,between operating system technical difficulties to factory default reboots,the show must go on. Here's the results. Jimi Falls is not another Hendrix wannabe band. They have a nice,hard driving melodic sound. Their newest member,Brian Yelm, comes over from Driven Under,who had a similar,melodic but high energy Power Rock sound. I talked to the band,when they opened for Bobaflex at Brauerhouse in Lombard.

Journeymen veteran power pop legend Cliff Johnson continues his nearly four decade career with The Raine. Introducing new audioences to the classic radio friendly work he started with Off Broadway's smash debut album,ON in 1979 & the debut top 40 single.Stay In Time. talk to him & the band at Fitzgeralds in Berwyn,where Off Broadway rocked onstage for two more decades,after the first wave of success from 1979-82.

He aslo is responsible for putting Revival together. The 3 day festival in Yorkville will bring togther the biggest & best of local & national hard rock & metal acts,with a lineup more potent than Lollapalooza.
